We never see your answers.
Most health quizzes are lead-capture forms wearing a stethoscope. This page explains, in plain English, why perigirlies is built differently, and how you can verify it.

Your answers never leave your device. The quiz, the scoring, your result, your doctor summary: all of it is computed in your browser, on your phone or computer. There is no server that receives your answers, because we didn't build one.
No account, no email, no phone number. We don't ask, and there's nowhere to type them.
No ad trackers, no cookies. This site loads no advertising pixels, no social media tags, and no external fonts, and it sets no cookies. One thing is new since launch: we keep an anonymous count of visits and taps (which page, which button, never which answer) so we can tell which pages actually help. It runs on our own domain, stores nothing in your browser, and your IP address is discarded on arrival. Open your browser's developer tools, watch the network tab, and take the quiz: every request goes to perigirlies.com, and none of them carry your answers.
What's stored, and where. Your in-progress answers are kept in your browser's session storage so a page refresh doesn't erase them. That storage lives on your device and is cleared when you close the tab.
The symptom tracker is the one thing that persists. A tracker that forgot everything when you closed the tab would be useless, so the entries you save on the tracker page are written to your browser's local storage, which survives between visits. That is still your device and only your device: nothing is transmitted, and we cannot read it, because there is no server to read it with. The tracker page has a delete button that erases every entry, and clearing your browser's site data removes it too. Nothing is written anywhere else.
The doctor summary is yours. It's generated on your device and saved by you, to your device. We never have a copy.
If you click through to a care provider, you leave perigirlies and their privacy policy takes over. We may earn a commission on some links. That's disclosed where it happens, and no information about your answers or your score is passed to them.
The formal version of all of the above
Regulators and lawyers read privacy pages too, so here is the same story in their dialect. perigirlies does not collect, store, sell, share, or process personal information or consumer health data. Your quiz answers, your score, and your doctor summary are computed and kept on your device only. We set no cookies, first-party or otherwise. Two browser storage mechanisms are used, both on your device and neither readable by us: session storage for in-progress quiz answers, which clears when the tab closes, and local storage for symptom tracker entries, which persists between visits so the tracker can do its job and is erasable at any time from the delete button on the tracker page.
We keep anonymous usage statistics through PostHog, a product analytics service, configured to its most restrictive mode: events are sent to our own domain, they contain no names, contact details, identifiers, answers, or scores, they set no cookies and use no browser storage, and the sender's IP address is discarded at ingestion rather than stored. No profile of any visitor exists, and one visit cannot be connected to another.
Hosting, the one thing between us and zero
The pages themselves are served by Vercel, our hosting provider. Like every host on the internet, Vercel processes network requests (your IP address, the page requested, your browser's user agent) for the moments it takes to deliver a page and keep the service running. On top of that we add only the anonymous counting described above, and we never see your answers through either layer, because your answers are never in any request.
Consumer health data
Laws like Washington's My Health My Data Act protect what they call consumer health data. Our position under them is short: we do not collect consumer health data, so there is nothing for us to sell, share, or delete. Your symptom answers are processed only by your own browser, on your own device, and never transmitted to us or anyone else. The anonymous usage counts described above are not linked or linkable to you: they carry no identifier, no cookie, and no stored IP address. Symptom tracker entries are health information, and they are stored by your browser on your own device rather than collected by us. We never receive them, we cannot access them, and you can delete them yourself at any time from the tracker page.
Children
The site is for adults 18 and older, the check stops at the age question for anyone younger, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, child or adult, because we do not collect information at all.
Your rights, and why they are easy here
Privacy laws give you rights to access, correct, and delete data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to request, and every such request would come back the same way: we have no record of you. That stays true with the tracker: its entries sit in your own browser, so you already hold the only copy and you exercise the delete right yourself rather than by asking us. Browser signals like Global Privacy Control ask sites not to sell or share your data; we sell and share nothing, so there is nothing for that signal to turn off, and the preference is honored either way. If you want your in-progress answers gone from your own device, close the tab, and session storage clears itself. If you want your tracker entries gone, use the delete button on the tracker page, which erases all of them, or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
If this policy ever changes
Any change appears on this page with a new effective date at the top. The product law this site is built on, answers never leave your device, cannot change without this page changing first, and a version of this site that collected data would have to say so here in plain words before it did.

perigirlies is an educational screening tool and is not a covered entity under HIPAA. The stronger claim is simpler: we can't lose, sell, or subpoena data we never receive.
